During the “European Seminar on Chemical Risk Assessment – REACH and CLP Regulations” at the University of Aveiro in Portugal besides the information about the enforcement activities by the Portuguese Authorities, the importance and contribution of Chemicals Legislation and Regulatory Risk Management to decrease occupational cancer, a good example how a company is taking competitive advantage of substitution of hazardous chemicals there was also opportunity to get information from the European Commission on the REACH review in 2018 highlighting some possible changes on the update of registration dossier compliance, post-SIEF, registration of polymers and new information requirements for low tonnage substances with the clear message that 2018 is not the end of journey for chemical companies.
